1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of permanentwallet.io and all related services provided by PermanentWallet. By using our services, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age and have legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Description of Services
PermanentWallet provides a platform enabling users to register permanent, non-expiring domain names associated with cryptocurrency wallet addresses, create and manage domain extensions, buy and sell domains on a secondary marketplace, and access educational content about crypto wallet safety.
3. Blockchain and Crypto Risks
⚠ Important Risk Disclosure: Cryptocurrency and blockchain transactions carry significant risks including total loss of funds. Please read this section carefully.
- Irreversibility: All blockchain transactions are permanent and cannot be reversed.
- Wallet responsibility: You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet and private keys. We never have access to them.
- Price volatility: The value of cryptocurrencies can fluctuate dramatically.
- Technology risk: Blockchain networks may experience outages or forks beyond our control.
- Smart contract risk: Our contracts are designed with security in mind but may contain undiscovered vulnerabilities.
- Regulatory risk: The regulatory environment for cryptocurrency is evolving and may affect your ability to use our services.
4. Domain Registration Rules
4.1 General Rules
- Domain names are first-come, first-served
- Domain registrations are permanent and non-expiring once completed on-chain
- You must not register domain names that infringe third-party trademarks or intellectual property
4.2 Prohibited Domain Names
You may not register domain names that infringe intellectual property rights, impersonate any person or organisation, are used for fraudulent or illegal purposes, or contain hate speech or content promoting violence.
4.3 Extension Registration
- Extensions are subject to availability and our approval process
- Certain extensions are permanently reserved or disabled
- Extension ownership is permanent and non-transferable
5. Fees and Payments
- All fees are denominated in cryptocurrency and are non-refundable once confirmed on-chain
- Domain registration fees are one-time only — there are no renewal fees
- You are responsible for any applicable network gas fees
- We are not responsible for failed transactions or lost funds due to user error
6. Revenue Sharing
Extension owners receive 50% of domain registration fees for domains registered under their extension. PermanentWallet retains 50%. For PermanentWallet-owned extensions, 100% goes to PermanentWallet. Revenue payments are made automatically on-chain at registration. For secondary sales, the distribution is 95% seller / 2.5% platform / 2.5% extension owner.
7. Intellectual Property
The PermanentWallet name, logo, website design, and content are owned by PermanentWallet. You may not use our branding without prior written consent. You retain ownership of domain names you register but do not acquire rights in PermanentWallet's intellectual property.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use our services to violate applicable law, conduct fraudulent activities, infringe intellectual property rights, engage in money laundering, spam or phish other users, or interfere with the operation of our platform.
9. Disclaimers
Nothing on this website constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Our services are provided "as is" without any warranties. We do not control any blockchain network and are not responsible for network events that affect your domains or transactions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PermanentWallet shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of cryptocurrency or digital assets, or any damages resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed amounts paid to PermanentWallet in the twelve months preceding any claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PermanentWallet and its officers, employees, and agents from claims arising out of your use of our services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
13. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of our services after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time. Domain registrations already recorded on the blockchain remain as permanent on-chain records regardless of termination.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation before proceeding to binding arbitration or courts of competent jurisdiction.
